One session deals with autonomous vehicles (AVs) under the topic Planning for the driverless future and what this means for insurance.

Questions to be examined include, what is the full impact of driverless cars as they move towards mass adoption? Who owns the risk? Car manufacturer versus the customer. How will the future of accidents and insurance claims be assessed? How do insurers and brokers adapt?

Suncorp Group asset and advanced technology pricing manager Steve Cratchley is a guest speaker at this session which aims to develop innovative solutions to the changing risk environment.

A varied program of case studies, panel discussions and presentations, has experts exploring other topics such as enhancing customer experience through the use of virtual assistants and chatbots, transforming insurance through telematics, wearable and connected devices, and emerging technologies which are poised to disrupt insurance.

The summit is at The Westin Sydney.
