Tesla confirms in a tweet that its Model 3 deliveries have begun in Australia.
It posted a video of one delivery on September 2, likening it to a kangaroo ābecause we raise little Teslas in the frunks of our carsā.
We reported onĀ August 14Ā that container ship Cap Capricorn was unloading the EVs in Auckland and Sydney.
The Tesla video shows a black Standard Range Plus Model 3 leaving Teslaās Melbourne centre and the tweet has prompted many responses, including a photo of men in frunks, baby Teslas and more.
Tesla wonāt reveal how many Model 3s have been ordered or how many deliveries are being done, other than to confirm strong interest.
The arrival of the Model 3 ā with more due to land ā is expected to accelerate EV uptake in Australia.
