You can read about some of the renewable EV related advances in this issue, such as a Queensland university research team coming up with an alternative EV battery idea that could revolutionise the industry.

A Chinese made electric van and car are due here soon – we check out the details.

We review the Roewe Marvel X, which has its sister brand the MG ZS EV SUV expected here soon.

Plus we review the Volvo XC60 T8 plug-in hybrid SUV and the Hyundai Ioniq PHEV.

The latest new vehicle sales from VFACTS tell the story about Australians switching to low and zero emission vehicles. Electrics, PHEVs and hybrids were the only ones to do well in a COVID-19 impacted vehicle market.

The chance to rethink and redesign our transport systems is covered in a column from Aurecon, and you can see what our trans-Tasman cousins are doing in the Across the Ditch feature.

All that provides food for thought in our latest issue.
