The official Australian launch of the EMoS Wyld e-chopper electric moped is at the Launch, Show & Ride EV Expo at the University of Southern Queensland Springfield Campus is on December 12, 9am-noon.
To mark the occasion EMoS’ business partners and others join the EV themed event in Block B at University Drive.
EMoS – the recently rebranded former e-Motion Concepts Pty Ltd, a premier Australian light EV provider – will display other light electric vehicles (LEVs) for transporting people and goods, as well as providing test rides.
Global energy and services company Engie will have information about its sustainable EV charging supply, Ride Sports displays its range of day-to-day and performance e-bikes, and the Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) will have information about EVs and some electric cars on display.
As part of the Australian Wyld launch EMoS will give away one of its innovative iLark three-wheeled personal e-scooters to a lucky visitor.
”Although the main event for this occasion for us is the Australian launch of the exciting and fun Wyld e-chopper, we wanted to provide visitors an opportunity to learn more about the electric vehicle space in this Launch, Show & Ride EV Expo”, EMoS co-founder Harry Proskefalas says.
The event was conceived two weeks ago in a conversation between EMoS founder Wolfgang Roffmann and Springfield City Group energy innovation manager Andrew Deme.
Discussing the recent strategic alliance between Springfield and Engie that will see six suburbs comprising Greater Springfield produce more energy than it uses by 2038, and serve as a successful model for resilient, efficient and connected communities worldwide; Deme and Roffmann recognised the synergies between the vision of a sustainable Springfield, EMoS and other local organisations.
“The venue at USQ Springfield campus is very fitting, with USQ’s own commitment to sustainability, such as a 2MW solar project and green transport initiatives,” Roffmann says.
“There was little convincing to be done to the USQ administration, and we are very grateful for the support they are providing.”
Engie transport and green mobility director Greg Schumann says Engie will provide information about its commitment to sustainable energy, green transport and mobility at the expo.
