AGL announces new EV plan

A new plan benefiting EV drivers has been launched by Australian energy company AGL.

Through the AGL Electric Vehicle Plan, households with at least one EV registered can get up to $480 worth of credits towards household bills over two years.

Rates wouldn’t go up in that time and households can offset their carbon emissions free under the plan with Future Forests.

Monthly e-billing, 24/7 customer support and flexible payment options are also included.

Households with rooftop solar are eligible too, which AGL estimates could save households 25% in electricity costs.

AGL says the plan will help households investing in an EV.

In 2016, AGL introduced a trial $1 per day plan for EV owners which ended on October 22, 2018.
