Electric vehicle car-sharing platform Evee has launched its new insurance policy for EVs.
Its insurance policy covers EVs for car-sharing use, meaning Evee insurance policyholders can earn a second income when their EVs are not in use and have them protected.
The policy also enables policyholders to offset the costs of high value car premiums.

Evee originally launched in 2016 in Canberra, and now operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Its initial growth was hindered by high insurance premiums on all EVs in Australia.

Evee founder Slava Kozlovskii, brokered an arrangement to provide Australian EV owners with a more versatile car insurance solution.
“Through three years of continuous work and perseverance, we were able to collect and present real usage data to prove electric vehicles aren’t just a novelty in the motoring industry, and that they’re here to stay,” Kozlovskii says.
Kozlovskii says no other business within Australia enables owners to rent out their electric vehicles.
“We are proud that Evee is the first to make this dream a reality. In most cases, the insurance cost will cost owners nothing if they simply rent their car through Evee for as little as several days per year.”
Australian EV motorists could face paying up to a third more on car insurance, than petrol or diesel cars.
