Electric Mini Cooper SE due mid-year

The all-electric Mini Cooper SE will arrive in Australia and New Zealand as intended from mid-2020.

The three-door electric Mini had increased sales in Europe, the United Kingdom and elsewhere, according to BMW.

Interest in Australia is reported to be strong, the Mini Cooper SE having similar specs to the UK, including a 32kWh battery providing up to 270km range.

A launch date and pricing are expected to be known shortly with BMW’s Mini Plant Oxford in Britain, where the Mini Cooper SE is made, likely to reopen later this month – COVID-19 pandemic restrictions permitting.
