Dayco Australia sponsored Monash Motorsport’s team won both the electric and combustion categories of the Formula SAE Australasian competition.
The Monash University of Melbourne based Formula Student Team is now ranked third in the world for the electric vehicle division, after competing against about 30 teams in the international competition in December.
The team’s third car, the first Australian designed and developed Australian Formula Student driverless vehicle, debuted last year at the competition, gaining much acclaim.
The Monash team now embarks on its 2020 European campaign, travelling with three cars (electric, driverless and combustion) to Germany, the United Kingdom and Hungary to compete.
