Fast Cities Australia has launched Evie Networks as its new trading name.
“We have a new look and we remain committed to delivering a 42-site nationwide ultra-fast charging network which will open the door to long distance travel for electric vehicles,” the company says.
“As our company has evolved, it was necessary that we revisited our brand to ensure it reflected where we were headed. It’s a bold brand that expresses the clean, reliable and convenient experience that our ultra-fast charging network will create for our customers,” Evie Networks chief executive officer Chris Mills says.
Evie Networks says it wants to give EV drivers the feeling of freedom that comes with open road travel. “Today this is not possible, due to the lack of fast charging infrastructure. This bold new brand better reflects our purpose and the essence of what we are creating.”
In addition to the brand launch, Evie Networks welcomes two new team members – Anthony Davenport as deployment head and Geoff Brady as sales and marketing leader.
Evie Networks says it has seen some encouraging steps at national and state government level, including the NSW government’s policy on EVs with a strong focus on infrastructure, the Senate Select Committee on Electric Vehicles’ 17 recommendations, and Infrastructure Australia citing a national fast-charging network as a high priority.
