Volkswagen’s ID.4 SUV will beat the ID.3 hatchback to Australia.
Confirming that, Volkswagen Australia managing director Michael Bartsch told media in Frankfurt for the IAA Frankfurt motor show (September 12-22) the electric ID range is coming with the ID.4 first.
He says VW Australia is aiming for an early RHD build place with SUVs popular in Australia.
The ID.4 should be in Australia in 2022, but just how many could depend on global demand, most going to Europe and other key Northern Hemisphere countries first.
